Job Summary:
Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all our guests to such an extent that they say or think to themselves “WOW” in a positive manner throughout their dining experience.
Responsibilities:

Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival and upon approach to their table if already seated.
Let guests know you’re there to personally take care of them throughout their dining experience.
Learn the names and personally recognize our regular guests.
Inform guests of any specials and menu changes.
Be knowledgeable of all menu items and make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
Answer questions about our food, beverages, and any other restaurant related question.
Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our Point-Of-Sale (POS) system, which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.
Deliver food and beverage orders from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.
Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are VERY SATISIFED with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests/concerns.
Perform side work at the start, during, and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
Ask for and verify guests’ identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages. If the appear to be under 30 years of age – ASK FOR THEIR ID! • Present dessert tray to every table, no exceptions!
Clean and reset tables after guests have finished dining/left the restaurant.
Roll silverware and set up dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties.
Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, condiments, rolled silverware, etc.
Be prepared to explain to guests how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as silverware, appetizer plates, and glassware.
Pre buss tables throughout courses by removing used/dirty dishes and glasses from tables and take them to kitchen for proper washing and sanitizing.
Assist host or hostess by answering phones to answer basic inquires (directions, specials, website, restaurant hours, etc.), reservations requests, call ahead seating, or taking take-out orders.
Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming rug runners, tidying up server station, taking out trash, or checking and cleaning bathroom.
Check with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, and respond to complaints, or to make conversation.
Prepare final bill, present check to guests, accept payment, process payment (credit card, gift card, or cash), make change (if paying by cash). Make sure table is clean of all tableware (except current beverage glass) before presenting check.
Receive and record guests' reservation requests in the current iPad program located at host station.
Inspect restrooms every 30 minutes for cleanliness and availability of supplies and clean restrooms when necessary.
Be ready and willing to assist Host/Hostess and/or Busser when needed with clearing and resetting tables.
Relay messages to hosts/hostesses and bussers as needed
Describe and recommend wines, beers, and/or specialty drinks to guests.
Bring wine selections to tables with appropriate glasses and appropriate pour the wines for guests.
Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.
Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of two years' experience as a server in a full-time service restaurant.
• Must be able to speak, understand, and communicate in English clearly and effectively. • Must possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a POS system. • Must posses a friendly, positive, and CAN-DO attitude! • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. • Must be at least 18 years old. • Must be articulate and confident, and present a neat and clean personal appearance. • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. • Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
Payrate: $2.13 per hour plus tips
