MFG (Market Fresh Gourmet) is a growing multi-concept restaurant group, currently with 4 restaurant concepts located in Mishawaka, IN. Corndance Tavern, Bourbon and Butcher, Evil Czech Brewery and Jesús Latin Grill & Tequila Bar. Carnegie Library Special Events is our private event space seating up to 175 guests and is in the upper level of Jesús.
Our butcher shop provides locally sourced meats while our commissary kitchen produces house-made products for each of our restaurant locations.
With 4 different concepts in 3 locations, there is something for every personality!
Multi-unit & multi-concept management experience is a plus.
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Restaurant Server to join our team!
You will be helping to create exceptional experiences for our customers during their visit with us by serving tables, taking dine-in and to-go orders, events, delivering beverages in a timely fashion, managing your running side work, and resolving customer issues.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering great service and has a love of craft food and drink. A natural-people-person with an eye for the details. Our servers deliver unique and memorable experiences to all of our guests that dine at any one of our MFG locations.
Responsibilities:
Take orders from customers for food and beverages.
Deliver all beverages in a timely fashion
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and appearance of your section
Running food whenever needed to both your tables and your teammates
Collect customer payments and provide change in a timely and courteous manner
work private events in the event space in the upper level
Maintain Carnegie Library & Jesus Latin Grill service standards as outlined in the Carnegie Banquet training program, standards of operation, and policies and procedures.
Responsible for food and beverage service to clients and guests, adhering to Carnegie Library service standards.
Accurately execute client Banquet Event Orders as outlined in the BEO event documents and attend to guest requests in a prompt and friendly manner.
Set up the event room according to the BEO and event diagram, and The Carnegie Library standards of service.
Consistently sanitize work areas, refill/stock containers and supplies, etc.).
Always work as a member of the team, offering assistance to team members when needed and supporting each other with kindness.
Rectify any client or guest complaint as quickly as possible. Immediately notify management of complaints from a client or guest at the time they occur. Never make excuses or guess answers- if in doubt, have your manager address the complaint.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
Consistently be in full uniform and ready for work in your assigned venue at the time you are scheduled to begin your shift.
Maintain good conduct, a strong work ethic, and safe working habits.
Attend all service staff training courses and meetings as scheduled.
Perform additional tasks as needed or as directed.
A high school diploma is preferred.
Previous upscale Banquet Service experience is preferred.
Alcohol Server permit is preferred
Excellent communication skills and articulate speech, and willingness to communicate and follow instructions in a friendly manner
Those with experience will be considered for a bartending role
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a server
Ability to communicate our menus and ingredients to customers in a way that makes them feel comfortable
General knowledge of wine, cocktails, and beer
Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods
Ability to effectively listen to and respond to customer needs
Must have a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor
Ability to multitask efficiently
