Job Summary Looking Glass Brewing Company features a full kitchen run by Chef Moyer, a brewing area (we make beer, cider, seltzer and wine), a 99 seat capacity in main dining/bar area with an additional 60+ seats in the Beer Garden.

We have started the interview process to fill 6-8 open part-time server positions and 3-5 open part-time host positions (age 15+ with minimum or no experience is ok) with opportunity to advance within the organization.

Applicants applying for the Host position should have the following skills: friendly, enjoy speaking with strangers, like to clean, answer phone calls, organized & punctual. Starting pay is $11 to $13 per hour.

Important skills to have: Able to learn new POS systems (we use Lavu), customer service, taking food/drink orders, carrying food/drink trays, bussing tables, working well with others, good time management, clear/concise communicator with great problem solving and decision making abilities.

Responsibilities:

Take food and beverage orders from customers

Answer questions about the menu and preparation

Provide accurate orders to the kitchen staff

Check with customers periodically during their meals to ensure they are satisfied

Take orders from customers for food and beverages

Provide customers with their checks at the end of the meal and process payment

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a server is preferred

Friendly and outgoing personality

Excellent communication skills

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and carrying trays

Familiarity with food safety guidelines

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Starting pay is $4.50 to $5.50 plus tips (average 20-30%).
