Position Description & Duties:Coordinating entire station and communicating with front and back of the house personnel to provide a dining experience that meets or exceeds guest expectations. Processes guest orders to ensure that all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis. Observes guests to ensure that they are completely satisfied with food, beverages and service. Responds to additional requests and determines when the meal has been completed. Removes dishes, silverware, condiments and as needed throughout the meal. Offers and prepares desserts. Presents bill, insures that their section is clean and set up for next shift. Completing side work as needed.
Requirements:
· EDUCATION: High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Must be able to communicate (verbal and written) and understand the guests who typically visit the work location. Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations.
· EXPERIENCE: Prior food and/or restaurant experience preferred but varies depending on the type of restaurant and level of service they have had. Knowledge of sequence of service and dining rooms procedures.
· Must be customer sensitive and possess a sense of timing so that different courses may be served at the proper time. Basic knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards. Friendly with an outgoing personality and service orientation.
· PHYSICAL: Must be able to exert fast paced mobility for periods of up to six hours in length. Must have the ability to lift pans and trays frequently weight up to 25 pounds.
