We are looking for an experienced and skilled Server to join our team!
You will be helping to create exceptional experiences for our guests during their visit with us by serving the tables in your section, taking food/beverage orders, delivering beverages in a timely fashion, managing your running side work, and resolving guest issues.

Job Title: Server Reports to: Manager on Duty Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary: The Tap Room Server occupies one of the most integral functions in the restaurant. Servers hold the responsibility of providing hospitality, receiving orders, maintaining the dining room, serving, and selling all while building a relationship with our guests. Servers are expected to have full knowledge of our menu, liquor/beer, specials, promotions, and events.
Duties and Responsibilities
Always exude hospitality, take guests’ food and beverage orders, utilize salesmanship techniques, and make appropriate recommendations.
Adheres to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
Ask for ID anytime serving alcohol to guests. There are no exceptions to this law and policy.
Full knowledge of our POS system, with the ability to input orders into the POS system, correctly.
Have full knowledge of our beer list, house cocktails, wine, and liquor.
Complete all opening and closing tasks pertinent to the serving position, as well as running side-work.
Be the expert on our menu both food, drinks, and daily specials.
Know the full layout of the restaurant, including but not limited to, table numbers and storage areas.
Help promote our restaurant: Great food, good people!
Adhere to the policies and procedures of Tap Room.
Assist fellow team members in the performance of their responsibilities. We want team players only!
Hospitality and Guest service is your top priority so you should display an outgoing personality and always be polite.
All Tap Room employees must come to work in proper uniform, neat and clean, with a positive attitude, and ready to work on time.
Ensure the ability to properly read state-issued identification.
Act with integrity and honesty, and alert management to all issues that may arise with a guest.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience
At least 6 months of experience in a similar role
Ability to work holidays, even if their regularly scheduled days do not fall on the holiday.
Open availability and the ability to work weekends and late nights.
Physical requirements: You must be able to do heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and remain on your feet for up to 10 hours at a time.
Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
TIPS certification is desirable.
Ability to always handle guests with composure and hospitality.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships.
Prior experience in a full-service restaurant is desirable
