A neat, groomed, and professional personal appearance
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Excellent communication etiquette
Ability to work on your feet for up to 10 hours and lift 50 lbs.
Organized and able to multi-task with attention to detail
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and a genuine appreciation for creating excellent service experiences.
Ability to guide and enhance the guest experience through product knowledge and sales techniques.
General knowledge and ability to use computers, tablets, apps, etc. including Microsoft Office, POS, and any other software used to complete job tasks
Ability to manage crisis in a calm and effective manner

Key Responsibilities & Expectations:
Orchestrates the guest dining experience to ensure guests have a hospitable and enjoyable visit and works with managers to correct any problems
Creates and fosters loyal relationships with returning guests
Prepares dining room for service, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware.
Checks guests’ identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages and adheres to Fleet Landing’s Responsible Service Policy
Prepares hot and cold drinks for guests, chills bottles of wine, and provides proper tableside wine service
Describes menu items to guests and answers questions about menu items, ingredients, preparation, cooking methods, beverages, and any other restaurant functions and services
Guides guests through menus and daily specials and makes recommendations
Accurately takes guest orders
Removes used tablewear between courses and provides clean tablewear for next courses
Prepares and itemizes checks and processes payments promptly and accurately
Cleans tables, chairs, booths, and floors after guests have finished dining
Polishes silverware and stemware and sets up and maintains clutter-free wait stations
Stocks service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens
Performs opening, ongoing, and closing duties as outlined in the sidework charts
Always gives guests the right of way
Always thanks guests before their departure
