Position Overview:
We are seeking an organized and customer-focused Service Advisor/Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking service for their vehicles, ensuring a seamless experience from initial inquiry to final service completion. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, assessing their service needs and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Schedule appointments and manage service calendars to maximize service bay efficiency.
- Provide accurate estimates based on the service requested, ensuring transparency in pricing and time commitments.
- Communicate with technicians regarding customer needs and relay updates to customers throughout the service process.
- Prepare and maintain all service-related documentation, including work orders, invoices, and customer records in an organized manner.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any lingering concerns.
- Assist with inventory management, ensuring that parts and supplies are adequately stocked and available for service operations.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, service offerings, and industry trends to better assist customers and support the service team.
- Handle payment processing and ensure accuracy in billing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, automotive technology, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software, including service scheduling and invoice processing tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
