Great Work Environment

Duties/Responsibilities:

Install and repair water, gas, and other plumbing systems in commercial and residential environments.

Run copper, cast iron, PVC, and other plumbing systems

Inspect structures, locating and marking positions of pipe, connections, and passages within walls and floors.

Troubleshoot and test installed plumbing sytems.

Assemble, install, maintain, or repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, etc. utilizing correct procedures and/or hardware.

Utilize blueprints or technical diagrams following state or local building codes.

Promote, maintain, and adhere to OSHA regulations.

Experience:

At least 3 years of related residential, commercial, or residential experience. Service Experience a Plus!

Working experience using blueprints or technical diagrams.

Experience in layout and installation of all sizes of copper, cast iron, gas, acid waste and PVC pipe.

Required Education:

Diploma from a Trade School or successful completion of Apprenticeship

Required Skills and Abilities:

Proven experience as a plumber

Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings

Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliances

Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Friendly with a great deal of patience

Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces.

Work Environment:

Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and lift equipment.

Repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing up and down ladders.

Extensive daily travel to work site location. Must be willing to travel out of town as needed.

Exposure to electrical, steam, and high heat units that require extreme caution and safety equipment.

Occasional to frequent exertion in high and low temperature environments (over heated kitchens, rooftops, outdoors, etc.).

We are a drug free environment - subject to random drug testing at owner's discretion.
