    Job Summary: The ideal Service Technician candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and upkeep of systems and equipment that serve as utilities to the farm, including light maintenance tasks such as greasing, exercising valves, cleaning, hardware repairs, and troubleshooting. The position requires the ability to read, follow and complete work orders, be familiar with wastewater treatment, perform chemical movements and transport, and be forklift certified. Prior experience with mechanical and electrical systems is a plus.

    Job Description: Core areas of responsibility:

    Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment located outside the facility.

    Identify and troubleshoot issues to ensure proper functionality.

    Perform repairs and replacements as needed to prevent downtime.

    Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner

    Assist with drum filter cleaning, biofilter blower function verification, sludge treatment area among others.

    Grease, exercise valves, and clean equipment to maintain optimal performance.

    Perform construction related duties such as painting, demolition, sheetrock installation, floor grading repairs, and roofing.

    Cleaning and disinfecting recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) including tanks and ancillary equipment with use of industrial pressure washers and/or similar equipment.

    Knowledge and familiarity with use of vacuum trucks, pumps, and other tools to perform the associated tasks.

    Assist with remediation and spill cleanups following proper safe procedures and protocols.

    Perform plumbing related repairs and installations.

    Operate forklifts and other large equipment other safely and efficiently.

    Follow proper safety procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or spills.

    Utilize the forklift for the movement and transport of equipment and materials.

    Responsible for grounds upkeep to ensure a maintained, professional and safe environment

    Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA and Company HSE Standards, along with site security program.

    Skills, competences, and knowledge to perform the work

    High School or equivalent

    Cleaning in industrial, medical, agricultural or food processing environments

    Background in aquaculture, recirculating aquaculture systems, fisheries, or fish handling preferred

    Experience with mechanical or pipeline work strongly desired.

    Knowledge and use of hand tools, power tools, and related safety considerations preferred.

    Willingness to collaborate with team members Ability to think critically and solve problems.

    Ability to speak honestly and voice concerns.

    Strong organizational and scheduling skills

    Ability to make hard decisions and follow through.

    Ability to work in complex multi-tasking environments

    Constant desire to learn and grow.

    Bi-lingual a plus

    Work Environment This job operates in a combined office and farm/production and construction environment.

    Schedule

    7 am to 5:30pm Shift

    Day Shift 7 am to 4:30 pm Rotating Shifts

    Afternoon Shift 4 pm to 12:30 am Rotating Shifts

    Overtime as Needed

    Weekends and after Hours as needed
