Responsibilities: • When needed, conduct routine maintenance such as checking fluids, rotating tires, replacing brake pads, and oil changes • Help establish service protocols for tracking the status of repairs, maintaining relevant technical manuals, using charts, and more for all of our dealerships • Determine and investigate any malfunction codes in the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic system using skilled expertise and diagnostic tools • Clearly articulate automotive repair issues and repairs needed to remedy them to both customers and auto mechanics • Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems Qualifications: • Possess a high school diploma or GED • ASE certification or comparable standard service technician credential, such as SAE, is attractive • Excellent customer service and communications skills are necessary • Automotive service technology training program completion or equivalent years of experience is required; associates degree is a bonus Compensation: $35 - $50 hourly
