We are looking for a Sewing Machine Service Technician to join our team! This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving mechanical puzzles, and providing excellent customer support. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of sewing machines while also assisting customers with troubleshooting and basic operational training. This position is based out of our Bluffton, SC studio and does require some travel. Responsibilities: • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on multiple brands of Domestic sewing machines (Bernina, Babylock, Brother) and Handi-quilter Longarms. • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical issues efficiently • Provide basic training to customers on machine operation and maintenance • Deliver and install sewing machines in customers’ homes or workspaces (occasional travel required) • Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings to customers and team members • Keep the service area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and parts • Stay up to date with new sewing machine technologies and manufacturer recommendations Qualifications: What We're Looking For: • Mechanical aptitude – experience repairing machinery, small engines, appliances, or similar equipment is a plus • Strong problem-solving skills – ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions • Customer service mindset – friendly, patient, and able to explain technical details in simple terms • Attention to detail – ability to work with small parts and follow repair guidelines accurately • Willingness to learn – prior sewing machine experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided • Physical capability – ability to lift and move sewing machines (up to 50lbs) and perform hands-on repair tasks Preferred Qualifications • Experience with mechanical or electrical repairs • Background or knowledge of Domestic Sewing Machinery such as Bernina, Babylock, Brother, or similar brands is a plus. • Background in sewing, embroidery, or quilting (a plus, but not required) • Previous customer service or technical support experience Compensation: $50,000
