    Responsibilities:

    • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, conduct inspections and complete repairs on heavy duty vehicles, trailers and cargo tanks.

    • Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.

    • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair air, hydraulic and electrical systems.

    • Perform a wide variety of maintenance and diagnostic functions on bulk liquid handling equipment; PTO’s, pumps, meters, reels etc.

    • Account for all time and material used in performing assigned duties.

    • Must understand and properly use all tooling needed for cargo tank repairs.

    • Maintains general housekeeping by keeping shop clean and free from oil, fluids, etc.

    Requirements:

    • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for equipment repair.

    • Welding & fabrication experience preferred.

    • Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS brake systems is desired.

    • A self-starter that works as a team member under the direction of management.

    • Ability to prioritize work and follow through with repairs.

    • Able to use common tools and equipment in the line of work.

    • Must have basic hand tools or willing to invest in them

    • Safety conscious – knows how to look out for him/herself and others in the work environment.

    • Ability to frequently lift to 50 lbs. Able to lift 65 lbs. from floor to shoulder level occasionally.

    • Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands, and fingers. Also crawling and working in narrow spaces.

    • Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e., hammering, turning wrenches

    • Exposed to heat, cold, noise mechanical/electrical fume or odor.
