    Insero Talent Solutions has partnered with a fast growing security company to recruit a Service and Installation Technician in Rochester, NY.

    This position is responsible to support sales and operations through the installation and service of fire alarm and/or security systems. The Service & Installation Technician position installs, maintains, or repairs fire alarm and/or security systems including card access and video surveillance. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes and meets the expected needs of the customer. We expect a high degree of communication among our internal team and our customers requiring attention to detail in all aspects of planning and execution of our projects.

    • Install, maintain, repair, or replace security systems, alarm devices, or related equipment following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans either remotely or on-site.
    • Mount and fasten control panels, card readers, door and window contacts, sensors, or video cameras and attached electrical, and network wiring to connect components.
    • Collaborate with appropriate staff from execution of customer proposals through installation and on-going maintenance, that generates customer satisfaction.
    • Troubleshoot systems/processes to determine causes or system failures and to recommend/implement solutions.
    • Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans and installation manuals to determine material requirements and installation procedures.
    • Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes and standard practices.
    • Able to work in a team environment and display leadership qualities.

    Qualifications

    • Associate Degree in electronics or related degree OR Technical Certifications, or other education supporting this role.
    • 2-5 years of experience as a technician in the fire alarm/security industry.
    • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
    • Strong working knowledge of fire alarm and/or security industry.
    • NICET certification highly preferred (fire division)
    • OSHA 10 certification
