Settlement & Medical Records Specialist - Personal Injury Law
As a Settlement and Medical Records Specialist, you will manage the entire lifecycle of case resolution, from gathering essential medical documentation to coordinating the final settlement, receiving payment, and negotiating medical bill reductions. This multifaceted role requires Personal Injury Law Firm experience in both case settlement, payouts, and medical records management. We hire team players with a desire to work hard, be efficient, and be compensated accordingly. If you are someone who wants to go through the motions and do the bare minimum, this law firm is not for you. Responsibilities: • Manage the complete case settlement process, including obtaining and tracking releases and payments • Order and track Medical records • Negotiate medical reductions and resolve liens • Prepare and verify settlement distribution ledgers • Coordinate with accounting for timely fund distribution and expense reimbursement • Maintain comprehensive tracking systems for payouts and medical records • Collaborate with the Client Concierge on post-settlement activities • Conduct research on legal issues related to payouts and medical records • Develop and maintain efficient organizational systems using Outlook, SharePoint, and Filevine • Submit regular KPI reports and projections to management Please note that as the Firm continues to refine processes, there may be additional job requirements and responsibilities added to this position. Qualifications: • Experience in a personal injury law firm in obtaining medical records, managing the settlement process, and negotiating liens and reductions • Excellent negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex cases Compensation: $50,000 yearly
