Sexual Assault Community Primary Prevention Specialist-SASI Program

SASI is committed to the prevention of sexual violence through education, prevention and advocacy in Laredo and Webb County, while providing victim-centered, trauma-informed comprehensive services to persons affected by sexual assault.

The SASI Primary Prevention Program implements community led activities aimed at reducing tolerance of sexual violence in the community and increasing prosocial behaviors that oppose sexual violence by strengthening the economic support systems, creating protective environments, and promoting social norms that protect against violence.

Duties:

Implement community-wide health equity activities. Identify, recruit, and mobilize community partners to create a network to increase access to leadership opportunities, and change the physical and social environment to increase community involvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
• Experience working with youth in the primary prevention field preferred.
• Community Organizing experience preferred.
• Must be bilingual (English-Spanish)
• Must be available to work flexible hours.
• Experience in public speaking required.
• Must have valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation

Salary range: $18.27 to $19.23 per hour.
