Sexual Assault Primary Prevention Coordinator-SASI Program

SASI is committed to the prevention of sexual violence through education, prevention and advocacy in Laredo and Webb County, while providing victim-centered, trauma-informed comprehensive services to persons affected by sexual assault.

The SASI Primary Prevention Program implements community led activities aimed at reducing tolerance of sexual violence in the community and increasing prosocial behaviors that oppose sexual violence by strengthening the economic support system, creating protective environments, and promoting social norms that protect against violence.

Duties:

Coordinate and implement community wide events to identify, recruit, and mobilize community partners to build a network to promote community engagement to take action for change against sexual violence.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field required.
• Must have community organizing experience.
• Must be bilingual (English-Spanish)
• Prior experience working in the primary prevention field preferred but not required.
• Must be available to work flexible hours.
• Preferred experience in public speaking
• Must have valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation

Salary range: $19.71 to $21.15 per hour.
