We are seeking experienced and qualified professionals, including Licensed Clinical Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), to join our team in delivering sexual offender assessment and treatment services for a Federally supported client in Washington, D.C.
Position Overview:
This is a critical role focused on conducting comprehensive assessments, delivering evidence-based treatment, and collaborating closely with Community Supervision Officers (CSOs) to support offender rehabilitation and reduce recidivism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and create individualized treatment plans tailored to offenders' needs.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, emphasizing relapse prevention and rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with CSOs and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective case management.
- Utilize polygraph testing and other monitoring tools to evaluate offender compliance and progress.
- Maintain meticulous records and adhere to evidence-based practices, including those established by the Center for Sexual Offender Management (CSOM) and the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA).
Work Location:
Primary work will be conducted in Washington, D.C. (20004), with potential assignments in the greater metropolitan Washington, D.C. area.
Work Hours:
Operational hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
Primary (Supervisory) Therapist:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience working with adults involved in the criminal justice system, focusing on behavioral health and sex offender treatment.
- Licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.).
- Certification as a Sex Offender Treatment Provider.
- Proficiency in utilizing assessment tools and instruments for offender programs.
Therapist:
- Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Licensure eligibility and specialized training for offender assessments and interventions.
Polygraph Examiner:
- Graduate of an American Polygraph Association (APA) accredited program.
- At least 40 hours of specialized training in Post-Conviction Sex Offender Testing (PCSOT).
- Strict adherence to APA ethics and professional standards.
