Job Summary

We are seeking a Groundskeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for daily tennis court maintenance and grounds maintenance. Ultimately, your goal is to keep the facility’s surroundings beautiful and inviting. The ideal candidate is a hard worker who takes initiative to address the work that needs accomplished in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities:

Sweep, brush, and line Har-Tru courts (5 times/week, in outdoor season)

Sweep and clean outdoor hard courts (3-4 times/week, in outdoor season)

Use of court sweeper for indoor tennis courts (3-4 times/week)

Remove and control weeds on and around tennis courts (daily)

Mowing, weed whacking, and spraying weed killer

Weeding, edging, and mulching garden beds

Operate landscaping equipment including mower, court roller, weed whacker, chainsaw, and blower

Schedule any required specialized services

Pothole repair

Light duty building projects

Indoor and outdoor maintenance

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Groundskeeper, Landscaper, or other position is preferred

High school diploma/GED is preferred

Familiarity with landscaping equipment and machinery

Understanding of sprinkler systems

Knowledge of fertilizers, pesticides, and gardening techniques

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods

Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
