Description
We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Online Specialist & Technical Writer to join our team. This role is a blend of technical expertise and communication skills, focusing on building, documenting, and training employees on SharePoint Online Intranet solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SharePoint Online, experience in creating technical documentation, and the ability to train non-technical staff on how to use the platform efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
SharePoint Online Development & Management:
Work with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into SharePoint functionality.
Work with lists, libraries, permissions, and Power Platform solutions within SharePoint Online.
Ensure best practices are followed in the architecture, design, and development of SharePoint solutions.
Technical Writing & Documentation:
Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including user guides, functional requirements, and technical manuals for SharePoint Online solutions.
Write clear, concise, and well-organized training materials and operational procedures.
Create FAQs, knowledge base articles, and other relevant resources for end-users.
Training & Support:
Conduct training sessions (in-person or virtual) for employees on how to effectively use SharePoint Online Intranet sites.
Develop training materials such as tutorials, videos, and presentations to assist users in adopting the platform.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for users, addressing their SharePoint-related queries and issues.
Collaboration & Communication:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and align SharePoint solutions accordingly.
Work with the SharePoint project team by ensuring effective communication between technical and non-technical teams.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in SharePoint Online site management.
Strong technical writing skills, with experience in creating documentation and training materials.
Familiarity with permissions within SharePoint.
Ability to translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand language for non-technical audiences.
Experience in conducting employee training, both in-person and virtually.
Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Power Automate, PowerApps, and other Office 365 tools.
Knowledge of SharePoint security best practices, governance, and compliance.
Experience working in an agile project management environment.
Prior experience in developing intranet solutions for medium to large organizations.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
