Job Description

We are seeking a Server Administrator __ to join our team!  The focus of this position is to proactively support and secure ShareTech’s managed client servers and network infrastructures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide excellent customer service to our clients and your team through verbal and written communications
• Update ticketing system with troubleshooting/resolution notes and documentation portal with changes
• Maintain existing ShareTech standardization and provide input to standardization team to further prevent issues or lower time to resolution
• Adhere to and enforce IT security procedures
• Support ShareTech’s managed services client servers and networks
• Monitor and troubleshoot server and network assets
• Maintain server and network assets
• Assist in disaster recovery scenarios
• Assist in management tool platform upgrades, patching, application updates, after-hour services and maintenance
• Acquire new technical skills

​QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of experience supporting the following technologies in a 500+ employee organization:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, management Information Systems, or equivalent experience/training
• Detail oriented and strong communication and documentation skills
• Strong analysis, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in English both verbal and written
• Experience with Windows physical and virtual server administration & support
• Experience with AD, Azure AD, Group Policy, & Microsoft Azure
• Experience with word processing, e-mail, and Microsoft tools
• Experience with PowerShell scripting
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware and associated equipment.
• Experience with VLANs, VPNs, switch configurations, routing, wireless, Fortinet firewall solutions
• Understanding of disaster recovery and service continuity
• Understanding of IT infrastructure
• Understanding of security risks and impacts
• Working knowledge of ITIL and change management
• Able to bend below knees and lift up to 40 pounds. Unbox server equipment, racking and stacking as well and cabling them as needed
• Able to be on-call after hours during the week and weekend on a rotation
