Scott Manufacturing Solutions is looking for a qualified Sheet Metal Helper who is willing to lend a helping hand and who is looking for growth within our company. Responsibilities: • Loading, unloading, and moving material as needed. • Cleaning up work area of hazardous materials. • Operating tools (benders, pliers, snips, and shears, etc.) and machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed. • Performing basic maintenance on tools and equipment. • Works closely with Sheet Metal Operators to complete projects and meet deadlines in a timely manner. • Follow instructions from the supervisor or leadman to perform manual labor tasks. • Assisting Sheet Metal Operators daily. • Report issues with equipment or unsafe working conditions. • Choosing the right sheet metals to use for the project based on plans and blueprints. • Precisely measuring sheet metal and marking it at the proper places to comply with required specifications. • Using cutting tools to prepare sheet metal for use in subsequent steps in manufacturing or as-is installation. Qualifications: • Familiarity with tools and machinery. • Communication and teamwork skills. • Commitment to safety rules and regulations. • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role. • Familiarity with industry health and safety standards Education and Experience • High school diploma or GED equivalent. Physical Requirements • Ability to lift and move over 25+ pounds. • Ability to stand and walk for long periods. • Physical strength and stamina. • Ability to safely work in a fast-paced environment.
