Sheet Metal Supervisor / Programmer / Inspector
Millennium Metalcraft, Inc. is looking for a technically skilled candidate to fill the position of Sheet Metal Supervisor / Programmer / Inspector. Provide supervision and programming support for Sheet Metal manufacturing according to customer specifications.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for Inspecting Flat Patterns and Finished product as required.
Responsible for creating models in Solidworks.
Responsible for marking up / redlining existing blueprints.
Responsible for creating programs / nesting using AP100 software for the Amada Turret Punches.
Responsible for reviewing customer drawings and specifications for accuracy to develop sheet metal programs for CNC punch, laser and press brake operations.
Responsible for editing existing programs when changes are made by customers for product revisions.
Working knowledge of sheet metal lay-out to include the application in concepts such as bend deductions and bend allowances to complete flat pattern development.
Review work order for accuracy and proper flow through manufacturing.
Collaborate with Planning. Estimating, Customer Support and Machining departments to ensure proper fabrication of parts.
Understanding and development of shop routings and conveying manufacturing instructions through drawings and other documentation is essential.
Qualifications:
High school diploma and a minimum of five years directly related experience.
Minimum of five years' experience in sheet metal fabrication and programming.
Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems is essential.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat software is essential.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Critical Skills and Ability:
Working knowledge and understanding of industry standards for precision sheet metal fabrication and processes.
Prior experience with CNC Punch, Laser and Press Brake operations is important and strongly preferred.
Experience with programming machine software AP100 for Laser or Punch.
Working knowledge of SOLIDWORKS 3D Modeling, and the ability to fold and unfold customer 3D models to create flat patterns strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of software to create G-Code for turrets and lasers.
Experience with inspecting Flat Patterns and Finished product.
Demonstrated organizational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
