    Shelter Worker – TEMP POSITION – HURRICANE SUPPORT

    Essential HealthCare Solutions, LLC, a leading essential staffing company servicing national emergency and disaster efforts, is seeking interested emergency relief personnel.

    We are looking for individuals to support during an emergency event. Our team is seeking dedicated individuals who thrive in disaster emergency situations to join our team on an as-needed basis during emergency events.     Pay Rate: Salary as commensurate with experience.

    Job Overview:

    Catch-all term to cover individuals that will be supporting shelter activities including serving as a screener, registration, and meal services. Provide support for the use of the facility. Ensure the safety, security, and sanitation of the shelter. Procure, store, and distribute supplies and equipment at the shelter

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Pass a level 1 background check.
    • Staff must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in the social services and/or health care fields and must have the following abilities:
    • Able to follow procedures and job tools including reporting requirements.
    • Able to acquire, evaluate, and report information accurately.
    • Able to participate and contribute to regular meetings.
    • Able to interact with the community in a clear, compassionate manner, respectful of diversity and unique needs.
    • Must have active listening skills.
    • Must have good organizational skills and be accountable.
    • Able to involve appropriate others in managing problems and conflict.
    • Able to work well with others.
    • Able to function in a dynamic and stressful environment with little or no supervision, adapting to change, negotiating compromise, and tolerating ambiguity.
    • Able to lift / carry 20 lbs. multiple times/shifts.
    • Able to stand and or sit for two-hour periods.
    • Able to bend or stoop multiple times.
    • Able to step up/down 18 inches and climb two or more flights of stairs.
    • Able to speak clearly on phone and in person.
    • Able to drive in daytime and at night.
    • Able to work outdoors in inclement weather, extreme heat and/or humidity and/or extreme cold.

    Each applicant interested in supporting in Florida will need to be ready for deployment with 6 hours of receiving the notice to travel and arrive to the designed site within 12-hours from the notice. Each applicant will need to complete their onboarding packet. It is uncertain as to the locations where personnel will be needed, but currently is located at a staging area established by FEMA or another government agency but will likely be in various efforts of the Panhandle and/or Gulf Coast regions of the state. 12-hour shifts, one hour lunch breaks, expected work schedule to be 7 days per week: All-inclusive rate. No travel reimbursement.
