  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Serves as primary shipper for the Equipment Department (3862).
    • Observe all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, including housekeeping practices and participation in EHS meetings, investigations, and audits.
    • Create bills of lading as needed and supply all Logistics’ documentation to freight carriers. Ensure all documents are compliant and shipping policies are followed.
    • Maintain record keeping of shipments to customers and other Veolia sites.
    • Work closely with 3rd party off site storage facilities to bring in or move out product for production or storage and maintain accurate inventory records.
    • Use machinery or equipment, such as forklifts / cranes to move mechanical parts and finished goods for production and shipping.
    • Create load plans.
    • Schedule shipments for pickup and work closely with Project Managers and Customer Care Team for logistics support and direction to customer sites and or Consignees.
    • Crate goods and build pallets using hand and power tools.
    • Prepare finished equipment for shipping.
    • Perform tasks in accordance with quality, DOT and requirements when loading and unloading trucks,
    • Understanding emergency response.
    • Interact with other team members and stakeholders such as engineers, manager, vendors, project managers and sourcing in a professional and organized manner.
    • Performs any additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Equipment Management.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    _ Required:_

    • Minimum one-year experience working in a warehouse
    • Experience coordinating shipments with sales/project managers/customers
    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
    • Team player, demonstrated proactive and self-starter behavior
    • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances
    • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
    • Ability to effectively communicate information (verbal and written)

    _ Preferred:_

    • High School Diploma/GED
    • Two years of experience working in a warehouse
    • Experience with SAP/ Google Applications (Sheets, Docs, Meets)
    • Trained to operate fork truck in manufacturing area
    • Comfortable operating crane to move large machines

    not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills,

    considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the
    stated range: $23-$26/hour
