Shipper - Sit Down Forklift Operator

Full-Time 1st shift $18.00

Two shifts are available: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm and 9:00 am -5:30 pm.

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Shipper - Sit Down Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing shipping operations, loading and unloading goods, and ensuring timely dispatch of products while adhering to safety guidelines and company policies. The role requires proficiency in operating a sit-down forklift and performing additional warehouse functions as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to move, lift, or stack materials and products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets while ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by verifying and completing the required documentation, including packing lists and bills of lading.
- Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, reporting any discrepancies or damage to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following company safety protocols and participating in safety training.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular cycle counts and updating inventory records as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet shipping and receiving goals and deadlines.
- Perform other warehouse duties, including picking and packing orders, as required.

Qualifications:

• - Proven experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• - Basic math and computer skills for inventory and documentation purposes.
• - Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks as required.
• - Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation.
