  • Responsibilities

    Manage the reception of finished items from Operations into the Finished Goods Inventory, as well as product dispatch to customers.

    Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

    Obtain completed items from Operations:

    • As needed, package in a product box or clam shell.

    • Store in a defined area

    • Transact into the Finished Goods (FG) inventory location as available to sell in the MRP system.

    • Prepare for shipment by moving things from FG inventory.

    • In MRP, review the client sales orders that are available to ship on a daily basis.

    • Choose a product from the FG catalog that is currently available.

    • Out of the Finished Goods inventory, transact in the MRP system.

    • Place the cargo in the correct final shipping container (box, Gaylord, etc)

    • Using the Shipper system, create shipper paperwork (labels, packing lists, and so on).

    • Large shipments should be scheduled and logistics should be planned to guarantee that there is enough storage space for incoming commodities and that staff is available to oversee the shipments.

    • Prepare regular shipping and receiving reports for management to keep track of goods shipped and received.

    • Handle any issues that arise during delivery or inventory management.

    • Construct package boxes.

    • Troubleshoot and address any shipment issues or consumer complaints that may arise.

    • Maintain the firm stockroom by regularly organizing, cleaning, and classifying products.

    Qualifications

    • High school graduation, GED, or comparable education and experience are required. Working in a shipping or receiving department is a plus. Working knowledge of heavy machinery (forklift, etc)
    • Reading, analyzing, and interpreting shipping documentation is a language skill. Present information effectively and answer to queries from managers, consumers, and the general public.
    • Mathematical Ability: Must be able to perform fundamental mathematical calculations such as proportions, percentages, area, and volume. Ability to apply fundamental algebra and geometry principles.
    • Individuals must have good computer abilities, including familiarity with spreadsheets, word processing, and MRP/ERP applications, to execute this position successfully.

    Salary info:

    $18 - $20 / hr
