    Job Description

    _ Position Summary_

    The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely shipment and receipt of goods. The position requires managing shipping and receiving schedules, inspecting shipments, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with internal departments and external vendors. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

    ** Key Responsibilities**

    • Unload, inspect, and verify incoming goods against packing lists and purchase orders. Ensure that shipments are complete, free from damage, and properly recorded.
    • Pick, pack, and label itedms for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements. Generate shipping labels and schedule pickups with carriers.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, incoming and outgoing shipments, and update inventory databases or systems.
    • Perform quality checks on goods being received or shipped. Report any discrepancies, damages, or defective items to supervisors and work on corrective measures.
    • Safely load and unload goods from trucks or shipping containers, using appropriate tools or equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
    • Communicate with various internal departments to coordinate shipments and resolve issues.
    • Work with shipping carriers to arrange pickup and delivery schedules. Ensure shipments meet deadlines and customer requirements
    • Keep shipping and receiving areas clean and organized, adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.
    • Create, update, and maintain records for shipments, receipts, and inventory.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    _ Basic Requirements_

    • 2 years' experience working in a warehouse setting or similar environment
    • Lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis

    _ Preferred Qualifications_

    • Ability to manage time and work independently
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Proficiency in inventory management software (SAP)

    The compensation range for the non-exempt position is between $20-$23/hour

    Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. At Syntegon compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Total rewards at Syntegon include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits.
