Position Description
We are currently looking for someone who is upbeat, personable, organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in warehouse, shipping, and receiving tasks to help us grow our business. The shipping and receiving clerk is primarily an internal support and administrative role, and this person will work closely with the rest of the operations team, purchasing agents, and members of other departments to ensure the availability of stock for upcoming builds and part sales. Most days are multifaceted with a variety of duties.
Shipping & Receiving Clerk Responsibilities:
Partner with team members to ensure a smooth flow of parts into production and out to our customers, including expediting parts when necessary.
Management of inventory and job bins, including setting up job bins and physical count of inventory.
Receiving parts into inventory and issuing parts to support production as a key member of the operations team.
Solicit pricing and do additional research when needed.
Participate in process improvement efforts.
Provide tracking and shipping costs for outgoing orders.
Manage parts-related change-order requests.
Processing incoming and outgoing shipments (domestic and international).
Scheduling shipping pick-ups or dropping off packages to carriers.
Coordinate customer pick-ups.
Prepare kit parts for current production builds and prepare part sale shipments to customers.
Use email and various software to communicate with team members.
Manage RMA’s – Generate labels for returns, photographing parts, documentation, alerting appropriate team members about incoming items to evaluate, and returning items to vendors and/or customers.
Occasional running errands or parts delivery.
Checking inventory of packaging material and re-ordering.
Administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will participate in production and operations meetings and will be asked to take on projects in these fields as permitted by your primary workload.
Key Skills and Experience:
Experience with automated Logistics/Warehouse Management Systems. Knowledge of Exact Online is a plus.
1-3 Years of inventory management is helpful
Demonstrated experience in shipping/receiving
Proficient with PC’s and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Sheets, PDF files, and internet searches
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
You should have your own transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance
Strong organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
Education:
Education, training, or experience with our specific products is not nearly as important as an ability to learn quickly, work creatively and efficiently, accept coaching, and be dedicated to our customer’s success.
