    Job Summary:

    The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating and managing all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of products. This role involves preparing shipping documents, tracking orders, and maintaining inventory records.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Receiving Shipments:

    Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or packing lists.

    Unload, unpack, and check goods for damages or discrepancies.

    Record and update inventory systems with received goods information.

    1. Shipping Orders:

    Prepare and package items for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements.

    Create shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.

    Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers.

    1. Inventory Management:

    Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock checks.

    Update inventory systems with received and shipped items.

    Report discrepancies and resolve issues related to inventory.

    1. Documentation and Record-Keeping:

    Maintain organized records of all shipping and receiving transactions.

    Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies.

    Prepare reports on shipping and receiving activities as needed.

    1. Communication:

    Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.

    Address and resolve any shipping or receiving issues promptly.

    Provide excellent customer service and support.

    1. Equipment and Safety:

    Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.

    Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

    Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment.

    1. Customer Service:

    Good verbal and E-mail communication skills

    Maintain and improve relationships with customers.

    Good customer service skills.

    Provide customers with shipping and receiving documents.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    Bilingual in Spanish

    Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.

    Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    Proficiency in using inventory management software and other computer applications.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ability to lift and move heavy items.

    Attention to detail and accuracy.

    Working Conditions:

    Warehouse or shipping/receiving area environment.

    May require standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and operating warehouse equipment.

    Adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of materials.
