The is position will work for Shoe Palace corporate headquarters (JD Finish Line affiliate company).

The Payroll Administrator will lead our Payroll duties, systems, and initiatives. Reporting directly to our HR Director, we are looking for someone who has a passion for Payroll. THIS IS WHAT A DAY AT WORK MAY BE LIKE…  

• Manage company payroll administration for a high volume (e.g., processing bi-weekly multi-state payroll (CA, FL, NV, NM, TX, CO, AZ, and HI), payroll audits, garnishments, etc.)
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll to meet employee expectations, the integrity of the financial accounting systems, and compliance with labor agreements, legal requirements.
• Partner with Accounting to ensure all payroll activities are posted to the general ledger and payroll accounts are reconciled timely and accurately.
• Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades.
• Monitor employee inquiries and ensure that all inquiries are promptly and appropriately resolved.
• Prepare and oversee payroll reporting to ensure accuracy.

 ABOUT YOU…

• 3+ YEARS OF RELATED PAYROLL EXPERIENCE IN A MULTI-STATE + HIGH VOLUME ENVIRONMENT. FULL CYCLE PAYROLL EXPERIENCE
• Computer Savvy, Excel Guru
• Comfortable with payroll software/HRIS (ADP Workforce Now, UltiPro)
• Strong time management skills; analytical mind and good communication skills
• Ability to use independent judgment in analyzing situations and making payroll-related decisions
• Strong technical knowledge of commonly-used payroll concepts, practices, and procedures
• Enjoy working with other departments to achieve set tasks? Perfect!

IT WOULD BE GREAT BUT NOT COMPLETELY NECESSARY TO HAVE…

• College education in Business, Accounting, or related field
• Certified Payroll Professional certification
• Experience working for a growing company
