  • Responsibilities

    Allstone and Tile, an established natural stone countertop fabricator and installer located in Ithaca, NY, is seeking a shop manager. The Shop manager oversees all aspects of our fabrication shop, from production planning and execution to quality control and staff management, ensuring efficient operations and a high-quality product.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Production Planning and Scheduling:

    Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer deadlines and production goals.

    Interpret specifications and job orders to plan and assign tasks.

    Monitor and maintain inventory of materials and parts.

    Staff Management:

    Supervise and train fabrication personnel, including CNC fabrication, templating, installation and other shop staff.

    Evaluate performance, provide feedback, and address any issues.

    Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies.

    Quality Control:

    Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet specifications and standards.

    Identify and address any quality issues or defects.

    Operations Management:

    Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the fabrication shop.

    Manage shop equipment and maintenance.

    Address any issues or problems that arise in a timely manner.

    Other duties as assigned

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Technical Skills:

    Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and equipment.

    Familiarity with CNC machine operations preferred but not required. Ideally familiar with Alpha Cam programming and and Park Industries equipment.

    Familiarity with stone fabrication preferred but not required.

    Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

    OSHA safety training is desired, but not required.

    Leadership and Management Skills:

    Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

    Ability to motivate and train staff.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Organizational and time management skills.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    Background check is required.

    Must be on time and reliable.

    COMPENSATION

    Starting pay $28+/hr, based on experience.

    Benefit offerings include medical and 401K.
