    As a Shop Mechanic, your key responsibilities will be to perform basic tasks in repairing and maintaining vehicles and construction equipment alike.

    • Inspect, diagnose, repair and replace defective, worn parts.
    • Test components, such as diesel and gasoline engines, mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
    • Disassemble and reassemble equipment and components.
    • Occasional travel to jobsites out of state to repair vehicles/equipment.

    BROAD OVERVIEW OF VEHICLES/EQUIPMENT:

    • Hot tar kettles
    • Ride saws
    • Pickup trucks up to class 6 trucks
    • Trailers up to 14K
    • Diesel air compressors
    • Application pumps

    WHAT IT TAKES:

    • Minimum 2 years of experience working on pickup trucks, heavy trucks, construction equipment, and trailers
    • Able to provide own basic hand tools
    • Ability to weld (not necessary, but a plus)
    • Ability to drive / operate equipment
    • The ability to frequently lift, push, pull and/or move 50 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance.
    • A valid driver license and an acceptable driving record
    • A negative drug and alcohol test throughout the tenure of employment
