We are experiencing continued growth and are seeking dedicated and skilled Shrub Trimmer to join our Maintenance team in our Bradenton, FL office.

    Your Opportunity:

    As a Shrub Trimmer , you will be a vital part of our maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the health, appearance, and aesthetic appeal of shrubs on various commercial properties. You will utilize your skills to prune, shape, and maintain a wide variety of shrubs, contributing to the overall beauty and professionalism of our client's landscapes. This is a hands-on role perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and take pride in their attention to detail. You will report to a Crew Leader or Maintenance Supervisor and will be based at our local branch office in Bradenton, FL.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform precise and efficient pruning and trimming of various types of shrubs according to established horticultural practices and client specifications.
    • Shape shrubs to maintain desired forms, enhance natural growth patterns, and promote healthy development.
    • Identify and remove dead, damaged, or diseased branches to improve plant health and appearance.
    • Utilize hand tools such as shears, hand pruners, and loppers safely and effectively.
    • May operate power equipment such as hedge trimmers under supervision and with proper training.
    • Assist with other general landscape maintenance tasks as needed, including weeding, mulching, and cleanup around shrub beds.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Adhere to all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Report any plant health issues or concerns to the Crew Leader or Supervisor.
    • Assist with the loading and unloading of tools and equipment.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in shrub trimming, pruning, or general landscape maintenance is preferred.
    • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving history within the last three years.
    • Must be willing to undergo a drug test.
    • Basic knowledge of different shrub types and pruning techniques is a plus.
    • Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently.
    • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
    • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat and humidity.
    • Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
    • Reliable transportation to the job site.
