As a Shuchi Cook at Salvaje Miami, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of Japanese-inspired dishes with precision and creativity.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities (KSA’s): Knowledge/Abilities:
Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling.
Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
Your duties include:
Executing recipes and techniques to produce high-quality Shuchi dishes, such as tempura, teriyaki, and donburi, while maintaining consistency and presentation standards.
Preparing ingredients, including cutting, marinating, and seasoning, with attention to detail and freshness.
Operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including fryers, grills, and steamers.
Collaborating with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials that showcase seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a cook in a Japanese or Asian restaurant is preferred.
Knowledge of Japanese cooking techniques and ingredients.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.
Team player mentality with excellent communication skills.
