    Job Summary: The Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting guests to and from the Emergency Shelter Program, maintaining shuttle vehicles, planning routes, performing safety checks, and providing logistical support when not driving.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Safely drive program vehicles to designated locations, ensuring all safety restraints are used properly.
    • Maintain cleanliness and safety of vehicles, including hydraulic wheelchair lifts.
    • Plan and document daily routes and report maintenance needs to management.
    • Collaborate with a partner to address vehicle maintenance issues as needed.
    • Assist with shelter operations, including meal service, trash removal, and maintaining cleanliness.
    • Attend staff meetings and training workshops as required, and complete additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

    **Requirements:
    ** Education and Experience

    • Clean driving record and comfort operating large vehicles (24 feet).
    • Tolerance and understanding of individuals with urgent case management and health needs.

    General

    • Ability to work with diverse populations, manage crises, and communicate clearly.
    • Detail-oriented, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with internet browser skills.
    • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
    • Dependable, responsible, and respectful in all interactions.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and focus on safe driving in a distracting environment.
    • Valid Class C Driver's License required.
