    FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

    Carolina Signs & Wonders are seeking a qualified metal sign fabricator to complement our fabrication team.

    Candidate must have demonstrated sign industry experience in all aspects of metal sign making. The environment for this position is a shop environment. Candidate must be able to work independently and take action as required by the duties and responsibilities given to them.

    Under general direction from the Production Manager, this is a production position requiring hands on knowledge and use of tools & equipment to produce finished products. The best matched candidate would have 3+ years of production experience, and be comfortable in a hands-on role working in a deadline-oriented environment.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE - SKILL - ABILITIES REQUIRED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    3+ years metal sign making experience. Read and follow shop work orders and construction drawings.

    Ability to work with your hands. Receive work assignments from team leaders and follow instructions to meet

    Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. deadlines.

    Ability to understand and work from shop drawings. Assist other fabricators as needed on larger projects.

    Ability to collaborate with creative designers, project managers and field Fabricate a wide variety of metal signs from small post and panels to large service technicians to brainstorm construction and installation techniques for monuments and pylons with a keen awareness of what makes a high quality product.

    Knowledge of various welding techniques. Install and wire up all manner of electrical and lighting components (LED, Neon, Fluorescent, HID, etc.)

    Knowledge of industry standard wiring and electrical techniques. Prep signs for transport and/or shipping, including crating, cribbing,

    Understanding of UL and code requirements. Quality focused. Other duties as assigned. High attention to detail and accuracy.

    Team oriented in a fast paced environment.

    Ability to take direction from team leaders. Additional Experience Appreciated! Ability to lead and teach others your tradecraft.

    Dependable, self-motivated and organized. Journeyman level fabricator preferred.

    Ability to maintain a clean working environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Sign fabrication and production

    Full-time availability (40 hours/week)

    Maintain cleanliness and organization of manufacturing/production area

    Assist in maintaining company signage equipment

    Learn new technologies, skills, and techniques to become a better sign making professional

    Team player

    QUALIFICATIONS

    5+ years of experience as a professional sign maker – design and production

    Background in vinyl creation and application

    Design creativity

    Expertise in using tools for fabrication

    Metal working experience (welding, cutting, etc)

    Paint and painting experience
