    Qualifications

    Certifications:

    Interpreter certification at the BEI 4/5 or RID [REQUIRED]

    Licensure, where required

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)

    Proven working experience in scheduling of sign language interpreting services (Preferred)

    Sign language interpreter with 3+ years’ experience (Preferred)

    Skills:

    Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking abilities

    Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

    Tech savvy and high ability to problem solve

    As a Staff Interpreter, you will also work as an Administrative Coordinator. As an administrative coordinator you will support our scheduling team through various tasks such as inputting data into software, answering emails, responding to text messages, and offering your expert knowledge to design the most optimal interpreting experiences.

    Responsibilities Summary

    Scheduling and Interpreting Accessibility Services:

    Coordinate and schedule services with contractors/providers via text, email, phone, or otherwise for scheduling

    Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

    Customer retention

    Participate in standby support services after hours (non-ER call management)

    Interpret as needed (remotely, onsite, post-production)

    Answering technical questions in connection with our specs

    Contractor Recruitment & Retainment:

    Interview and Recruit contractors (ie: interpreters, captioners)

    Ensure onboarding of all contractors is complete and accurate

    Contractor retention

    Administrative:

    Support website, company newsletter, and other marketing materials for sales and recruiting

    Generate and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Specification Sheets for all tasks

    Other duties as assigned

    Interpreting and Creative Projects:

    Onsite, remote, and post-production interpreting (hours vary and you may not have any interpreting for weeks at a time or you may have several hours)

    Captioning, audio descriptions (training provided)

    Planning or presenting workshops

    Other creative projects as assigned

    Working Conditions (Hybrid- Remote/Onsite)

    Ability to travel onsite when needed

    Ability to work remotely and have a private office

    High speed internet that can withhold customer requirements for remote interpreting and remote administrative work

    Located in the St. Louis Metro and Surrounding Areas [REQUIRED]

    Hours are typically during business hours, but evening and weekends might be required to meet the needs of clients
