    TITLE: Operations Manager

    REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

    LOCATION: NATICK, MA AND ABILITY TO WORK FROM HOME

    COMPENSATION: $18+

    OFFICE HOURS: 9AM - 6PM M-F AND WEEKENDS

Signal 88 offers franchising to entrepreneurs or law enforcement which provides a top of the line business model for security guard service firms. Signal 88 has redefined the security industry through branding and technology and is experiencing phenomenal growth. Our corporate office sells franchises, launches them, and provides all the facets of business support and development.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall performance of all Dedicated Site Officers for multiple sites during these hours. Similarly, the Operations Manager is responsible for the overall quality of the company product and services. The Operations Manager is a Senior Patrol Officer or Lead Patrol Officer who is also thoroughly trained with all aspects of the Patrol Field Manager position and may serve in that capacity on a temporary basis.

    ROLES:

    • Schedules weekly discussions with direct reports pertaining to personnel and any other issues, problems or concerns with customer accounts
    • Accurately complete all required actions necessary in order to process and post bi-weekly payroll
    • The Operations Manager is ultimately responsible for all Officers in the field, ensuring all are properly uniformed, trained, and have the appropriate tools needed to perform the job
    • Audits random Officer Reports on a daily basis and provides feedback to the officers.
    • Reports any concerns, problems, or issues in the field to the Director of Operations so they may be addressed in a timely fashion.
    • Ensures all Post Orders and other new client information is updated in 88 Edge.
    • In the event of unexpected absences, the Operations Manager is responsible for filling the required assignment, either by serving on the post directly or scheduling a different officer to work the scheduled assignment
    • The Operations Manager reviews requests for time off and authorizes or denies such requests based on staffing needs. The Field Patrol Manager is the final authority on such requests.
    • The Operations Manager is responsible for initiating disciplinary action against personnel in violation of Signal 88’s SOP.
    • The Operations Manager monitors the present policies, procedures and practices of the Signal 88 Patrol Division and makes recommendations for modifications or enhancements to the Manager of Patrol Services
    • Updates all Officer personnel information and routes these updates to Human Resources
    • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without any notice

    TYPE OF INDIVIDUAL:

    • Ability to establish security objectives, goals, processes and plans in support of divisional and corporate strategic directions
    • Requires a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Signal 88‘s policies and procedures along with asset protection principles necessary to plan and implement security programs and solutions in support of the business
    • Must have strong management presentation skills as well as proven experience in organizing and directing staff/team work and coordinating such activities to a successful conclusion.
    • Requires strong analytical and problem solving skills to review, evaluate and recommend changes and/or develop and implement new programs as requirements and customer needs change
    • Must have the skill and ability to conduct and/or support sensitive investigations involving company personnel, assets and/or proprietary information
    • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Management or Security Management preferred
    • Certification in Security Management Preferred
    • At least six months in the capacity of Lead Patrol Officer or Senior Patrol Officer
    • At least 6 months in the capacity of Lead Patrol Officer or Dedicated Site Supervisor
    • Successfully completed all on the job training and online training modules for officer classification levels T1 through M3

    ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Normal office environment. Occasional overtime may be required and/or hours may be shortened as business needs dictate.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Manual dexterity needed for using a calculator and computer keyboard.
