Job Description

As a Sign Installer/Production Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to finish and prepare signs for installation and/or delivery.  He or she will apply the highest level of workmanship to all elements of every job, pay high attention to detail and provide quality workmanship. The ideal candidate for this position will like working with their hands and have a background in construction and electrical.  He or she must be a team player and work with other departments to deliver the best product to the customer.  He or she presents professionally and communicates well to customers whether in the store or on site at a customer. Responsibilities: -    Masks, weeds, and applies vinyl to various substrates -    Properly and efficiently uses an X-Acto knife and ruler -    Operates a vertical panel saw using standard safety procedures -    Maintains machinery in a good working condition -    Travels to different locations to conduct site survey and install various types of signs -    Applies vehicle and window graphics -    Maintains a organized, clean, and professional store appearance at all times -    Performs other duties as assigned -    Problem solver -    Be a "Handy Person", especially experienced in methods of fastening items to buildings -    Have a basic understanding of electricity. -    Able to work at heights on boom lifts or ladders while lifting signs -    Ability to work in a team -    Must demonstrate extreme attention to detail -    Prompt, reliable, and responsible and Must be in good physical condition and able to lift heavy objects

High school diploma; 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in sign repair service; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities: • Ability to operate a 29' boom/bucket truck, work outdoors in high precarious places in all kinds of weather at heights of 29' • Ability to read, interpret, and apply specification documents, government coding document information, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals • Ability to understand basic electrical mathematical calculations • Ability to move, lift, and carry materials equipment, parts, occasionally in excess of 75 lbs • Ability to communicate job status/progress with clients and office representatives / Outstanding customer service skills • Ability to properly document work orders using service software • Familiarity with smart phones and/or tablets.    License: • Driver's License (Required)  Work authorization: • United States (Required)
