    ** What you'll do:

    **

    • Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, specifically pertaining to FMLA, OSHA, EEOC, immigration, DOL and ERISA

    • Safety and Workers Compensation Program Management

    • Point person for absences such as sick leave, FMLA and personal leaves. Advise plant manager of qualifying/non-qualifying leaves and communicate leave approval to payroll and production supervisors

    • Assist in employee relations, including grievance hearings, negotiations, arbitrations and unemployment appeal hearings. Supply pertinent information and participate in representation of company

    • Conduct new employee orientation and local benefit enrollment. Conduct verbal and video orientation for each new employee. Distribute explain, collect, forward and enter benefit enrollment information for each eligible employee

    • Maintain hourly HR database. Enter any new employee, benefit information, training information, rate changed, address changes etc..into HR database

    • Serve as in plant liaison between employees and third-party benefits administrators including Workers Com and STD. Be in constant contact with TPS’s both with written and verbal communication

    • Administrative hourly layoffs, recalls, job vacancies, job assignments, hires, terminations and retirements. Write and communication throughout the plant. Conduct lay-off exit interviews and contact recalled employees

    • Communicate information to union, production, payroll, corporate and TPA

    • Communicate needs to initial screening agency and forward applications to management. Arrange background checks and pre-employment physicals.

    • Facilitation of Achieve Global leadership training sessions.

    • Compile and administrate location AAP plan – accumulate and tabulate AAP information into standard reports. Complete narrative with overview and corrective actions included. Oversee compliance of recruitment and hiring practices. Provide corporate with federally required information.

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

    • Minimum 2 years related experience

    • Working knowledge of Federal, State and local employment laws, including: ADA, ADEA, FMLA, OSHA, worker’s compensation, wage and hour laws, hiring practices, and EEO compliance. Ability to understand contractual language and Company policies.

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.

    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees at all levels.

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations.

    • Ability to conduct daily duties in a professional manner and appearance.

    ** Preferred Qualifications:

    **

    • PHR certification

    • Minimum 2 years human resources experience in a unionized environment
