Overview
Project Performer is a performing arts studio in Encinitas, CA, dedicated to providing high-quality training in acting, singing, and dance. Our mission is to help young performers develop strong technique while fostering creativity, confidence, and self-expression in a supportive and professional environment.
Responsibilities
As a Singing Instructor, you will train students in proper vocal technique, musicality, and performance skills, helping them develop confidence and versatility as singers. Success in this role is measured by student retention, engagement, and quarterly teacher check-ins.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching both group and private voice lessons for students ages 8-18
Specializing in musical theatre vocal styles and techniques, including belting, mix, and legit singing
Helping students prepare for auditions, competitions, and performances
Coaching students on vocal health, breath support, and storytelling through song
Designing engaging lesson plans that build technical skills and stage presence
Providing constructive feedback and goal-setting for students' vocal development
Attending monthly Zoom staff meetings to collaborate with the team
Communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive learning environment
Requirements
We are looking for instructors who align with our studio’s values and meet the following qualifications:
Experience teaching musical theatre-style singing
Ability to teach proper vocal technique, breath support, diction, and performance skills
Experience working with students in both one-on-one and group settings
Background in musical theatre performing is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students and parents
Passion for mentoring and inspiring young performers
Professionalism in punctuality, preparedness, and classroom management
