    Job Title: ROCS Dining Services Site Manager

    Reports To: ROCS Dining Services Director

    Job Summary

    Prepare meals and keep necessary records for the ROCS Dining Services program located in North Sioux City. ROCS Dining Services has 22 locations in southeastern South Dakota which provide nutritious and diabetic-friendly lunches 5 days a week, primarily serving seniors and low-income populations.

    Responsibilities

    · Prepare and serve meals as required by federal and state guidelines.

    · Purchase, receive, check and store all grocery purchases to assure cost compliance.

    · Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as scheduled.

    · Prepare attractive and nutritious meals for persons 60 years of age or older.

    · Prepare special diet trays for those that need them.

    · Keep accurate records of daily attendance, meal counts and contributions and deposit donations into the local bank on a daily basis. Send requested records to administrative office.

    · Complete NAPIS forms on all participants.

    · Ensure that all eligibility requirements are adhered to and proper fees are collected from ineligible individuals.

    · Maintain all sanitation standards in kitchen/dining room maintenance, food preparation and food storage.

    · Must wear hair net and apron while working in the kitchen.

    · Must give nutrition education once a month to all participants.

    · May be required to pick up participants for the meals or deliver meals to the home-bound.

    · Generally responsible for ROCS Dining Services property, it’s safe and proper use and it’s clean up.

    · General clean-up of the site including the refrigerator, storage area, bathroom, sinks, floors, windows, etc.

    · Promote the program in the community.

    · Supervise site staff.

    · Must report to administrative office and find a substitute before any leave is taken from work.

    · May be assigned other duties as necessary.

    Other Requirements

    Must be able to work well with the staff and elderly.

    Must be able to complete ServSafe training and pass exam.

    Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide proof of auto insurance.

    Minimum Experience

    Prior experience in food preparation, menu planning and food purchasing is a must.
