Job Summary:
We are seeking a Site Safety Coordinator with at least two years of experience in occupational safety within a construction site or data center environment. This role is responsible for planning and implementing health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations, and providing training to supervisors, managers, and employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of workplace safety standards and the ability to foster a culture of safety on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Program Development
Plan and implement health and safety protocols to minimize risks and ensure compliance.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA standards and industry best practices.
Training & Compliance
Conduct safety training sessions for company personnel, including supervisors and managers.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
Promote a culture of safety through ongoing education and best practices.
Site Safety Oversight
Monitor workplace conditions to identify hazards and ensure proper safety procedures.
Work closely with general contractors and subcontractors to enforce safety measures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of occupational safety experience in a construction site or data center setting.
OSHA 30 Construction Certificate required (OSHA 510 preferred).
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, federal, and state safety requirements.
Experience conducting safety training and compliance programs.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to engage employees and enforce policies.
Work Environment & Conditions:
The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. The employee may be required to work in tight, confided spaces. The employee must demonstrate regular and on-time attendance. There could be a requirement of occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
