Job Description

The Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) – Level 2 shall have full oversight of the safety program initiatives at CMI’s customer sites in Florida: Miami, West Palm Beach and Dania Beach.

Key Job Functions

• Oversight and implementation of the Accident Prevention Plan
• Prepare and enforce the client safety program
• Conduct personnel and equipment inspections daily
• Conduct safety orientations and meetings with personnel at the jobsite
• Conduct mishap investigations
• Maintain applicable safety reference material at the jobsite
• Attend pre-construction conference, pre- work meetings, and three phase inspection meetings

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree
• At least three (3) years of experience within the past 10 years in preparing and enforcing safety programs and implementing Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) programs for a federal agency that has multiple site locations and a contract value of at least $500K per year or more.
• Current OSHA 30-hour construction safety training
• 24 hours of documented formal classroom or online Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) -related training within the past 5 years
• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English to effectively perform these job functions and comply with installation emergency procedures
