Who We Are: Against All Odds Youth & Family Services works with a diverse population of male and female youth that are referred to us from the Department of Child Safety and Tribal Social Services. Our youth often have experienced some form of trauma ranging from separation from family, neglect, abuse or abandonment. We assist social services by providing a safe, clean, positive and welcoming environment in order to help youth stabilize while they are separated from family. The youth are encouraged to excel, learn, grow and set realistic goals until they are reunited with family, fostered, adopted or transition to independent living.
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Youth Specialist to join our team! Individuals must be able to work with youth in need of consistency, nurturing, structure and positive adult role models. Appropriate professional boundaries with youth, staff, and outside agencies are required. Individuals must be able to implement team goals and objectives as well as adhere to all company policies and procedures while maintaining excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
Provide interactive supervision
Follow a daily schedule
Provide caregiving activities
Complete daily documentation as specified
Provide transportation of youth to school and activities
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid AZ drivers license
Minimum of High School diploma or GED
Be able to obtain a valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Department of Public Safety
Have a minimum of 1 year experience working with children
First aid/CPR certified
Available Shifts: San Tan Valley: Day/Swing Sun -Thur 2:30pm-10:30pm San Tan Valley: Overnight Sun-Wed 10:15pm-8:15am Queen Creek: Sun-Thur 3pm-11pm Queen Creek: Sun-Thur 7am-3pm Queen Creek: Overnight Wed-Sat 11pm-9am Queen Creek: Part Time, Fri/Sat 7am-3pm
