Our team is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our clients and their families by providing professional and reliable care tailored to their unique needs.
Position Overview: Home health Speech Therapists, or Speech Language Pathologists, provide one-on-one care to patients in their homes to help them with communication, language difficulties, swallowing problems, and cognitive disorders. You will be working independently, but collaborate with other members of the patient's care team, such as RN, Physical Therapist, and other member of our Skilled team. You will be responsible for creating treatment plans that are specific to a patient’s immediate needs. It’s all done with the ultimate goal of helping clients achieve independence.
Duties:

Helping patients communicate both verbally and nonverbally
Educating family members

A typical day for a home care speech pathologist may include helping a non-verbal stroke survivor get familiar with text-to-speech technology… assessing a patient’s swallowing by trialing liquids of different consistencies…and teaching a patient’s husband how to puree foods properly so she can safely eat
