    Job Description

    We have too many sales leads for our current staff to follow up on! Therefore, we’re looking to add an experienced Educational Sales Representative with 3 years experience. Additionally, if the candidate has an interest or background in small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) commonly referred to as drones would be noteworthy. Our business is drone training, and we can teach you about this exciting new technology that is changing all businesses. We prepare the American workforce for new jobs and business models enabled by emerging drone technologies.

    SkyOp is a Drone Training and Education Company. We have delivered small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) training programs since 2014. We are a certified Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Knowledge Testing Center. We offer the most advanced, end-to-end drone training and consulting program available to commercial businesses, schools, colleges, and organizations. You will help us prepare the American workforce for new jobs and business models enabled by emerging drone technologies.

    In addition to direct training, SkyOp licenses its courseware and provides Train-the-Instructor programs used by many colleges, STEM high schools, and organizations across the US.

    We’ve developed an extensive Cloud-Based Learning Management System (LMS). Our implementation is NOT computer-based training, it’s better thought of as an “electronic textbook” with both an instructor’s and a student version. It also includes reference material, PowerPoint lessons, video tutorials, classroom labs, homework, quizzes, grading, and FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot test sample questions with automatic grading. This is designed to support classroom instruction and virtual classes we’ve been successfully delivered using Zoom video technology.

    Today the SkyOp electronic textbook includes up to 400 hours of training covering an impressive array of drone training including:

    • Introduction to drones (sUAS)
    • Computerized drone flight simulator
    • Indoor training for flight system orientation, depth perception, and non-GPS flight skills
    • FAA Remote Pilot knowledge test prep
    • Outdoor hands-on training with commercial drones
    • Drone photo and video production
    • Understanding autonomous flight applications
    • Intro to photogrammetry software, orthomosaic mapping, 3D modeling, point clouds, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and more.

    The beauty of our curricula is we can easily mix and match those chapters to create numerous custom classes to meet specific objectives.

    We effectively prepare students with the best skills in the drone industry. Today we have a rapidly growing list of over 60 high schools and colleges that have already standardized the SkyOp drone training curriculum across the US.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Become an expert on the company's products, the issues faced by teachers in the classroom, and the latest educational trends at the local, state, and national level
    • Highly self-motivated
    • Detail-oriented
    • Excellent communications skills - Able to communicate effectively and appropriately to internal and external personnel. This is a client-facing position
    • The responsibilities will include developing relationships with CTE Technology Coordinators, STEM Instructors, Principals, Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Teachers, curriculum managers, etc.
    • Must have good Microsoft Office skills including, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
    • All your sales calls are done using Zoom video conferencing.
    • Deliver key sales presentations
    • Prepare proposals and follow-up through contract completion
    • Demonstrate effective territory management
    • Demonstrate effective and successful working relationships with internal stakeholders to include sales, service, account management, and product development, teams
    • Create and maintain accurate opportunities pipeline
    • Forecast sales results
    • Communicate information such as product needs, market conditions, promotional activities, business opportunities, sales trends, and competition strategies/activities

    QUALIFICATIONS:
