Job Summary
The Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for all aspects of troubleshooting, repair and maintenance service of a wide range of equipment that is needed to perform all landscape functions.
Production
- Troubleshoot equipment accurately and repair breakdowns quickly to maintain operating efficiency.
- Proven abilities in a wide range of technical skills in repairing all landscaping and construction equipment with 2-cylce engines and 4-cycle engines and other small engines including but not limited to: Mowers Blowers Weed Eaters Tractors Skid Steers
- Perform oil changes, air filter changes, belt replacements and inspect all safety devices of equipment.
- Perform off site repairs
- Pick up of parts from vendors
- Assist in maintaining service records for all equipment
- Maintain and organize parts as needed
- Assure that all parts go through company inventory.
- Maintain Shop area, yard, and building
- Communicates with managers internally as needed in order to insure crews have proper equipment to perform task.
- Insure OSHA and other regulations are followed for all equipment
- Assist Company in seasonal services provided to customers.

Required Skills
- Must have a high school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in related field.
- Must have a valid NC Driver’s license and maintain a good driving record (CDL preferred)
- Must submit to a reference and criminal background check.
- Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate others
- Must comply with Bland Landscaping Company, Inc. policies and procedures
- Must practice safety with chemicals and all equipment
- Must wear company – provided uniforms and use personal protective equipment as needed
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Background check
Required Experience
3 years experience in related field.
