Primary Duties
Evaluate equipment performance and maintenance costs to identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities.
Manage the lubrication and condition monitoring department for the Forney Mill.
Manage contractors for maintenance repair and installation activities
Manage contractor's weekly timesheets; including taxable, non-taxable, outage work, and emergency work
Monitor and develop projects to address equipment with high life cycle costs
Alternate maintenance call duty with Mechanical Superintendent
Act as backup for Mechanical Superintendent during his absence
Prepare justification, budget, and schedule for small capital projects
Implement the projects once approved
Manage maintenance improvement projects identified through RFCA and Pareto analysis
Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures.
Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar study required
Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance experience
High level of mechanical aptitude in order to understand the complex workings of the papermaking process
Demonstrated capabilities in project and time management.
Training and certification in Six Sigma or similar curriculum, and proven work experience.
High energy, with the ability to work in fast-paced environment
Computer proficiency required
Self-starter
Capable of independent thinking and working alone
Able to gain support of others with the use of excellent interpersonal and communication skills
