Position:

The primary focus of an After School Enrichment Instructor will be to teach Snapology programs at elementary schools at the end of the school day. After School Enrichment Instructor are asked to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while educating students on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) concepts. This role requires internal collaboration and communication with Snapology leadership as well as representing the Snapology organization to parents & children with a high degree of professionalism.

Role & Responsibilities:

Lead groups of up to 20 students through curriculum-guided activities

Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment

Adequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum and familiarizing yourself with the learning materials

Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs

Encourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs

Qualifications:

PA and federal criminal and child abuse clearances must be current or attainable within five days of job acceptance. Clearances must meet PA state requirements for working with children.

Experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment

Teaching experience recommended; College students pursuing a degree in education are encouraged to apply.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others

Ability to communicate effectively orally in English

Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis

Programs:

Weekday after-school classes

School break workshops

Optional weekend workshops and/or birthday parties

Option to transition to Summer Camp Instructor at the end of the school year.

This position is part-time. Depending on candidate availability and the time of year, After School Enrichment Instructor typically work between 2-8 hours per week.
